Roberto is 45 years old and has worked with you for some time. He has always been very dedicated to his career and accustomed to relying on his own effort to keep life under control. A few weeks ago, however, he was diagnosed with an advanced malignant tumor. The news disrupted his routine and stirred fear of death and uncertainty about the future. He grew up apart from any religious practice and, for many years, regarded faith with skepticism. With the start of treatment approaching and given the seriousness of his condition, he began to question the certainties he had always relied on. He also feels ashamed of his own past and fears that seeking God only now might seem hypocritical. Back at work after medical leave, Roberto notices a different attitude in the way you deal with the company's routine and pressures. When the breakroom is empty, he approaches you to talk about what he is going through.
